Privacy Policy

“Play & Learn” is an educational games platform by DARWESH (darweshtech.com). Teachers host a session for their students, who compete in games built on the lesson’s questions. We collect as little data as possible and use it only to run the platform.

Teacher data

• When you sign in with Google: we receive only your name and email address. We do not ask for access to your mailbox, files or contacts.
• What you enter yourself: your name, your school’s name, and the lessons and questions you create.
• Usage data: the sessions you create, the time of your last sign-in, and your subscription status.

Student data

• Students do not create accounts, and we do not ask them for an email address, phone number or any other means of contact.
• A student joins with the session code and types a name that appears on the leaderboard. We recommend using first names only.
• We store their answers and points within that session so the teacher can see the results and the hardest questions.
• The browser stores a secret session token so the student can return to where they were if they refresh the page.
• The teacher can remove any student from their session at any time.

How we use data

• To sign you in, run sessions, calculate points and show results to the teacher.
• To manage the free trial and subscriptions, and to contact you about your account when needed.

We do not sell any data, we do not show ads, and we do not use tracking tools or advertising analytics. Student results are seen only by the session’s teacher and the platform’s administrators.

Where data is stored

Data is stored with trusted service providers: Supabase (database and sign-in) and Vercel (website hosting). Connections are always encrypted, and access to the database goes through functions that check the permissions of every request.

Cookies and local storage

We use the browser’s local storage only for what the platform needs to run: the teacher’s sign-in session, the student’s session token, and sound and control settings. We do not use it for advertising or tracking.

Deleting data

You may request deletion of your account and data at any time, and a student’s parent or guardian may request deletion of their child’s data through the session’s teacher or by contacting us directly. We respond within 30 days.

Children

The platform is intended for classroom use under a teacher’s supervision, and collects nothing from students except a name they choose and their answers in the session.
